Applications

Hall Senior positions are advertised in January; Subwardens in May.

Wilson House is an Imperial College hall of residence, and as such, all applications to live in the Hall as a resident are managed by the Accommodation Team. Only Wardening and Hall Senior applications are considered by the Wardens.

Subwardens

The role entails looking after the pastoral, welfare and discipline of undergraduate students of the College (mainly first years), as well as helping to run an enjoyable social programme. The successful candidates will be expected to take on the role of ‘Duty Warden’ (or backup Duty Warden) once per week, and occasional weekends.

There is no remuneration for this role, though a large Studio is provided in the Hall rent free.

Application for Subwardens open in May and close in June. If you miss these dates, we’re sorry but we do not accept speculative applications.

Hall Seniors

Seniors are a crucial part of the Welcome team: helping new students settle in to life at Imperial and London. Seniors are required to devote the first few weeks of their term helping with the hall, and then the year watching out for freshers’ wellbeing and signing up on a rota basis to events throughout the year.

Wilson House, as one of the most affordable Halls at Imperial, at a reasonable distance from the South Ken campus – is much sought after. As such applications to live at Wilson are competitive.

Residents and Summer Enquiries

The Wardening Team do not manage normal vacancy or summer accommodation requests. Please refer these requests to the Accommodation Team.
